Microstructure and Viscosity of Dephosphorization Slag in New Double Slag Converter Steelmaking Process

The structure and viscosity of the dephosphorization slag in new double converter steelmaking process with low basicity at temperature range 1573 K–1723 K are studied high-temperature laboratorial experiments. With increasing end dephosphorization, viscosities different slags decrease rapidly first, then slowly, activation energies increase. values Non-Bridging Oxygen per Silicon (NBO/Si) decrease, indicating increase degree polymerization (DOP) viscous flow energy slag. results Raman FTIR spectroscopy consistent. K–1673 is mainly composed P-rich region, Fe-rich region liquid region. from to 1673 K, proportion increases, but regions correspondingly decrease.
